Hello everyone,

It is interesting how our dreams and desires manifest, also amusing to see the motivations that bring them to fruition. Ever since I was a child the idea of writing was appealing to me but as the daughter of a novelist I used to feel a little intimidated by words. Could they be something for me to use as vehicle of expression? And here I am, typing along and excited about this new little blog that is sprouting as a consequence of our trip and all the discoveries that lie ahead of us. Even if not Cervantes, I am certain that there will be a lot to tell you in the next few months. Settling in a new country and a new town is a fascinating experience. I know it well since I have done it quite a few times.

This blog is dedicated to all of you, our incredible family in the US. Beings that have shared so many pieces of my life in the last decade or so. My heart overflows with gratitude as I think about it...
I am not sure what is going to come out of this blogging adventure but since a lot of you asked to keep you posted about the events and turns of our moving to Spain, here are my humble and sincere words. I will do my best and am hoping to open a window to the lives of Hugh, Chris, Niamh and myself so you can follow us as we enter this new stage in our journeys.
